Responsibilities:
Observe writing and debugging of safe control programs, which meet end user requirements and company expectations;
Work collaboratively with Robotic Programmers and HMI Programmers to ensure full functionality of the system;
Assist with control programming of equipment and tooling is complete, safe, and functional;
Observe internal runoffs, safety inspections, and other quality control procedures;
Debugging of electrical and mechanical systems as needed for operation of all machines;
Effective communication with robotic programmers regarding necessary requirements to ensure a project runs smoothly;
Experience / Skills:
Candidates must be in their junior or senior year of a 4-year undergraduate program (i.e., industrial engineering) from an accredited 4-year academic institution;
Maintain a G.P.A. of “B” (i.e., 3.0) or higher (selected candidates may be requested to provide transcripts upon offer of internship);
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical prints;
Ability to use common hand tools; and
Good verbal and written communication skills are required
Nonessential Skills and Experience:
Safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) standards.

Understand the Company’s EH&S policy and how it relates to this job;
Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as company rules and policies that pertain to this job;
Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EH&S procedures;
Immediately notify the supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly or if there are any questions regarding EH&S procedures; and
Attend required EH&S training.

Physical demands: While performing duties of job, employee is typically required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; squat; climb; see; talk and hear. Be able to climb ladders; lift hand tools approx. 1-15 lbs. in weight to complete machine assembly, parts up to 50 lbs. Repetition with activity.
Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate; temperature in the assembly area may fluctuate with the seasons, as the production area is not air-conditioned.
