Position Summary: Responsible for the purchasing, receiving and coordinating industrial related components, as well as developing a network of suppliers for future purchasing needs.



  • Assist in quoting activities;
  • Create, execute and follow-up on purchase orders to ensure order accuracy and timely delivery;
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships, evaluate contract terms and negotiate prices;
  • Track and manage project material costs;
  • Develop and implement cost savings plans;
  • Resolve billing issues and any conflicts between the company and supply chain;
  • Perform activities related to inventory control;
  • Accurately utilize the company’s Business Management Software (ERP); and
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience / Skills:

  • Strong purchasing and negotiating skills required;
  • Highly proficient in MS Office tools (i.e., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word);
  • Good team player with organizational and time management skills;
  • Must work well under pressure and be able to work independently;
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or Supply Chain related field; and
  • Three (3) to five (5) years purchasing experience in a manufacturing / production environment.


Nonessential Skills and Experience:

  • Safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) standards.

  • Understand the company’s EH&S Policy and how it relates to this job;
  • Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as the company’s rules and policies that pertain to this job;
  • Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EH&S procedures;
  • Immediately notify the supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly or if there are any questions regarding EH&S procedures; and
  • Attend required EH&S training.
