Position Summary: Project Managers work closely with leadership to ensure project scope and direction are communicated effectively to accurately meet customer needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal and external resources for the execution of projects;
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget;
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility;
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation;
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress;
  • Manage changes to the scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques;
  • Measure project performance using the appropriate tools and techniques;
  • Report and escalate to management as needed;
  • Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders;
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks;
  • Establish and maintain relationships with outside vendors; and
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

 

Experience / Skills:

  • Bachelor degree in Project Management, Business Management, Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent preferred;
  • 2+ years’ experience in Project / Program Management;
  • Previous, proven demonstrated excellent team playing abilities with organizational and time management skills;
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communications skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Relevant experience leading custom engineered projects;
  • Technical knowledge of engineered robotic welding systems;
  • Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements;
  • Ability to understand system layouts and/or technical manuals;
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations;
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures;
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to project team;
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities;
  • Knowledge of the operating practices of fabrication and manufacturing;
  • Ability to assess contract compliance and product/service quality;
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and
  • Strong working knowledge of Project Management Tools like Smartsheet or Microsoft Project is a plus.

Nonessential Skills and Experience:

  • Safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) Standards;
  • Microsoft Office Suite;
  • ERP Software (Epicor);
  • Smartsheet Project Management Software;
  • CAD Software (Solidworks, PTC Windchill, PTC Creo); and
  • PMP certification a plus.
