Position Summary: This position entails coordination of Spare Parts sales, customer support and tactical activities including assisting processing of purchase order requests, preparation and promotion or system spare parts proposals and field sales for business growth. Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships with a defined customer base to ensure a high level of satisfaction and increase revenues. Identifies, develops and typically closes new sales opportunities. Serves as the primary interface for all products and services, and creates demand for the organization's products and services by raising their profile with customers. Responsibilities includes providing effective customer service by establishing a working relationship with internal and external customers through communication via email, telephone, or in person with customers or company employees.
Essential functions and responsibilities
Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with the customer base.
Identifies, develops and typically closes new sales opportunities
Creates demand for the organization's products and services by raising their profile with customers
Achieves revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per account. Additionally manage component costing and market pricing to increase margins.
May conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the customer's senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization's product/service strategies
Effectively manage all spare part projects through each phase as it progresses from start to finish.
Generate as needed, manage, and report on project budgets, road blocks, and improvement opportunities
Streamlines operational processes for efficiency, effectiveness and market value.
Prepare and promote spare parts proposals to customers
Process purchase order requests
Order entry into ERP system
Prepare packages and bills of lading for outgoing shipments
Expedites delivery per customer requests
Answers sales calls and provides information as needed
Serves as liaison with manufacturing, engineering, and shipping personnel
Experience/Skills:
Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
Records maintenance skills
Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers
Knowledge of postal or commercial shipping methods and procedures
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain or a related field
Nonessential Skills and Experience:
Safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) Standards;
Microsoft Office Suite;
ERP Software (Epicor);
Smartsheet Project Management Software;
CAD Software (Solidworks, PTC Windchill, PTC Creo); and
PMP certification a plus.
