Purpose:  This position is responsible to assemble tooling and equipment in the building of cells.


Job Description


  • Assemble tooling and/or equipment per assembly drawings, and any additional specifications provided by engineering.
  • Inform supervisor and/or Project Engineer of technical issues.
  • Signs out subs and verifies all parts are available.
  • Inspects to ensure parts are fitting together
  • Point out problems such as wrong threads, mismatched dowel holes, etc.
  • Ensures part is going to clear another part in the clearance process.
  • Starts assembly process to the subprint.
  • Verifies the bolt size and dowels are the appropriate length, thread and diameter
  • Applies loctite to the dowels and bolts
  • After assembly, verifies that all missing parts are labeled and tagged.
  • Ensures work is signed and in the book and submits to supervisor for inspection.
  • Starts plumbing process and ensures that air lines operate on each cylinder and that there are no air leaks and all components work properly.
  • Installs fireproof rubber hose in various subs on fixtures prior to supervisor’s final inspection.
  • Leads the specific job that they are on.
  • Answers questions for other employees.
  • Serves as back-up for the department in the absence of the supervisor.
  • Informs supervisor of final inspection and performs final inspection.


Basic Requirements

  • High School Education or GED 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with qualified Assembly Technician
  • Master Plumber Designation.
