Robot Trainer

EDUCATION
High school, GED, Vocational High School or Technical College or equivalent experience.
5+ years Integration Experience at Tennessee Rand
Comprehensive knowledge of 3 of 4 major robot welder combinations. (Motoman, Fanuc, ABB, and Panasonic robots. Lincoln, Miller, Fronius, and SKS welders.)
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Advance mig and spot welding capabilities. (Aluminum, copper, stainless, and heavy welding etc.)
Advance understanding in material handling on at least 2 major robot groups. (Motoman, ABB, and Fanuc.)
Capable of using servo float commands, job shifting, and offset programming
Capable of setting up and testing Safety Functions. (DCS safety zones, Safe Move, RT, and FSU boards)
Capable of supervising a crew over multiple jobs in different locations.
Capable of offline programming using (CIM Station, Fanuc Weld Pro, MotoSim, and Robot Studio verified by the Manufacturing Manager.)
Intermediate electrical trouble shooting for cells and tooling.
Resource contacts from Fanuc, Motoman, ABB, Lincoln, Miller, Fronius, SKS and Panasonic service group and capabilities to follow troubleshooting procedures and protocol to fix issues abroad.
Customer service contact for Tennessee Rand and Lincoln Electric for robotic and welding questions.
Intermediate knowledge of PLC programming capable of making small changes in the field on phone with controls department. (Upload/download programs, Adjust safety scanners, and make approved changes to safety PLC.)
A thorough knowledge of Tennessee Rand Equipment Build Standards
A thorough knowledge of Tennessee Rand Technical Guidelines
Level 5 robot programmer
Is a level 5 in two robot brands and at least a level 2 in a third robot brand
Capable of reading Mechanical and Electrical Schematics
Capable of managing and training inexperienced employees
Organized and detailed in scheduling coursework
Proficient at organizing and completing daily paperwork and employee progress reports
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Good verbal, written, and listening communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES (Including, but not limited to, the following)
Responsible for holding daily classroom sessions.
Weekly student reviews and testing.
Manages students day to day activities. (Progress, timeliness, attitude, recommendation for improvements, etc...)
Responsible for developing and teaching course material.
Is the primary contact for students.
Supervises students during on the job training.
Lead projects on which the students are training.
Travels with students during on the job training installs.
Responsible for training students to become mid-level 2 in 18 months.
Will train students on all Tennessee Rand tribal knowledge in integration. (Bolts, TR drawings, pneumatic layouts, Electrical Drawings, audits, paper work, timelines, working with customers, etc...)
Show a willingness to cut students from the program if they do not meet program standards.
Student Recruitment.
Must know or become familiar with all Tennessee Rand Standards.
Primary focus: training employees, developing training program, training documentation.
Supporting integration, when not training, with problem solving skills.
