PURPOSE:   We are looking for a self-motivated compensation professional to join our Compensation team. Reporting to the Manager of Compensation, the ideal candidate will have a can-do spirit and the ability to support employees at all levels. This role will provide a great opportunity for the right individual to help drive results in all facets of compensation including, but not limited to, market pricing and job evaluation, survey submissions, and all annual compensation processes.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Conducts analysis on internal and external compensation data used to recommend, develop and implement appropriate employee compensation structures that involves creating jobs, configuring pay grades and evaluating employee jobs.
  • Conducts analysis on employee incentive plans to ensure that bonus programs are in compliance with Corporate established guidelines.
  • Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines, policies and practices. Recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems.
  • Performs routine audits to ensure data integrity, as it relates to jobs, pay grades and compensation.
  • Works with Managers or Business Partners on creating and updating job descriptions. 
  • Participates in compensation surveys by completing wide-ranging questionnaires and gathering information about the company and its employees.
  • Creates meaningful visual representations of data to help decision makers understand the current status of our compensation programs.
  • Develops communication strategies to promote the transparency of compensation programs using infographics and traditional forms of communication.
  • Assists with the preparation of materials and communication for the compensation programs.
  • Remains current with international, federal, state and local compliance regulations as well as trends, advances and/or new technology and makes recommendations for changes and improvements.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities such as ad-hoc reporting and performs special projects as needed or directed.
  • Other duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting/Finance or related Business field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in Compensation.
  • Knowledgeable in all compensation theory and concepts; particularly with the concept of market pricing and how it relates to employee pay.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to use compelling reason to influence decision making.
  • Stellar administration, organization and project management skills.
  • Critical thinker and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Detail oriented with strong written, verbal, and organizational skills with a healthy sense of humor.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong Excel skills to manage and analyze large data sets for multiple employee groups (knowledge of macros helpful).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, team environment.
  • Strong resolve to help guide all levels of the organization to the best outcomes based on objectives.
  • Must be willing to initiate, anticipate and assist with projects, along with ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
