Purpose: With project progress and results being monitored intermittently, serves as a highly knowledgeable business and technical liaison with business managers and IT technical experts.  Applies significant level of experience in business operations to maintain and improve the use shop floor control, time and labor reporting systems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perceived as "go to" expert for shop floor, MES, time and labor reporting applications
  • Encourages business partner(s) in gaining more and better comprehension of shop floor system features and data availability. 
  • Consults with business partner(s) to provide advice concerning how to best maximize benefits of integrated computer systems, manage the data, eliminate unnecessary duplication of effort, economize, provide better service to internal customers, increase profitability, and so forth.
  • Implement improvements involving technical/business operations at multiple sites.
  • Applies creative business problem solving skills in issue definition and resolution techniques.
  • Design and construct systems that effectively meet user customer needs while adhering to ISD standards, procedures and practices.
  • Participate in all phases of systems development for IS Oversee the prioritization of work based on knowledge of technical complexity that is in alignment with middle/upper level management.
  • Develop test plans, test files and test data. Also responsible for detecting and resolving test issues.
  • Keeps IT technical staff and business management informed concerning important issues.
  • Manages escalated concerns quickly, effectively and in the Company’s best interest

     

     Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Finance or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of configuration, analysis, design and implementation experience with manufacturing or business systems applications
  • 1-2 years of experience with report writing tools, such as Crystal Reporting, SQL query, etc.
  • Strong technical background with exposure to multiple computer languages such as Oracle stored procedures, HTML, java scripting, etc. a plus
  • Candidates with Apriso/Flexnet process builder experience preferred
  • Experience should include all aspects of the implementation process including business process analysis, requirements gathering, design, complete system configuration, testing, end-user training, and production support
  • Experience developing interfaces to external systems
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of how IS impacts business functions and corporate profitability
  • Highly motivated, self-starter
  • Team player
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
