PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position is responsible for leading the facility preservation, renovation and construction projects and efforts for Lincoln Cleveland.

 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Directs and oversees all facets of construction capital projects including development, recommendations, obtainment of funding approval; planning coordination and execution.
  • Works closely with management on developing and finalizing construction project plans.
  • Interacts with upper management on project concepts for renovations and construction.  Presents rough plans, drawings, budget and options.  Makes recommendations.
  • Recommends, develops and presents capital project plans to management and gains funding approval.
  • Consults for the business and management of construction project, real estate and building opportunities.
  • Works with city and/or state government.
  • Works with construction building inspectors to ensure the project meets local and national building codes and ordinances, zoning regulations and contract specifications.
  • Takes leadership oversight and project management from inception through successful project completion.
  • Works with construction firms to gain bid proposals.
  • Analyzes material and labor costs, set procedures and standards, review construction or production bids.
  • Manages and coordinates architects, engineers and contractors in the design, construction or remodeling of facilities.
  • Ensures project metrics and customer expectations are realized and projects are completed on time, within budget.
  • Ensures the safety, health, environmental and compliance aspects for the project to meet regulations.
  • Works with the architect, general contractor and other stakeholders to determine the best sequence of construction operations and develops a detailed schedule and budget while also ensuring project safety and security.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.

 

QUALIFCATIONS (includes education, skills and aptitude):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years associated experience
  • Knowledge of best practices with respect to safety along with an uncompromising attitude to ensure safety of all employees.
  • Demonstrated communication skills in writing and orally with ability to communicate with upper management (internally/externally) and less experienced employees.
  • Developed ability to take ownership and drive results along with decision making ability.
  • Previous experience in industrial construction helpful
  • Knowledge and ability to create capital budget plans and prepare capital expenditure proposals preferred.
  • Project management certification beneficial.
  • Knowledge of current OSHA, NFPA, EPA and other government regulations preferred.
  • Familiarity with mechanical CAD packages (Solid Edge, Micro station) along with electrical CAD packages (AutoCAD Electrical) helpful.
