PURPOSE: This individual shall participate in the design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Robotic automation system products.  The ideal candidate will have previous experience leading technical projects, is well organized, motivated, communicates well with others, and is comfortable working to established project timelines.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Develops the total system architecture for a project.
  • Performs on-going evaluation of systems for continual improvement and cost reduction.
  • Implements design changes and product enhancements
  • Tests, maintains, and modifies existing systems to ensure they meet customer need.
  • Interacts with internal and external customers during the design process, as well as post sale support
  • Understands and ensures compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards
  • Oversees workflow and support internal and external resources to ensure timely delivery of project, expected quality, and allotted budget.
  • Provides customer support and machine diagnostics for new as well as legacy systems
  • Supports quote team in proper estimation of projects for electrical and controls content.
  • Participates in risk assessment exercises and documentation.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed in support of Lincoln Electric’s strategic plan and 2020 Vision.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3-5 Years’ Experience
  • Proficient in utilizing CAD for electrical schematics and drafting.
  • Experience using MS office products
  • Experience or ability to quickly learn SAP required for role.
  • Proficient in industrial controllers, like PLC, HMI.
  • Ability to work with all levels in the organization and with external customers.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time, sometimes on short notice.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with Fanuc robots.
