PURPOSE:  The Production Team Lead will assume full responsibility of department processes and personnel.  This role will be responsible for directing and coordinating all activities for the department with a focus on personnel development, operational excellence, and lean manufacturing.    



  • Direct and coordinate all activities of a production department through subordinate team members
  • Effective management of extended team members from cross functional departments, including the coordination of well prioritized and focused team project list implementation 
  • Responsible for rightsizing the department to meet customer and production requirements 
  • Responsible for maximizing the profitability of departmental operations
  • Ensure that quality product is manufactured within department
  • Promote, develop and continually improve safe work practices and environmental performance within the department
  • Foster an atmosphere that promotes continuous improvement of employees and processes
  • Conduct departmental performance ratings
  • Reports to Manager, Electronics Factory



  • BS/BA degree in a Technical or Engineering discipline preferred; or equivalent relevant experience required
  • Prior Production management or supervisory experience and/or training preferred
  • Able to communicate and work well with all levels within the organization
  • Basic knowledge of Printed circuit board manufacturing and Technologies in the production area: SMT (surface mount technology), TH (through hole technology), manual/automated soldering, environmental coating
  • Ability to lead others; demonstrate excellent judgment
  • Fosters an uncompromising attitude toward safety, environment, health and quality
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle employee and production issues in an efficient and professional manner
  • Ability to effectively initiate and implement positive change
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint required; Lotus Notes, SAP, Access and FlexNet preferred
