PURPOSE: Act as the General Contractor for large Environmental Installation Projects.  The Installation Manager will manage the project thru Quotation, Contractor Selection, Project Execution and System Commissioning.  The Installation Manager will manage the installation of the central fume system with a motor/fan combination connected by duct to extraction arms, hood, or push pull system into customer accounts.

                     

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Manage the Installation of Central Fume Systems into customers manufacturing facilities from conception to completion
  • Develop a Cost Competitive Network of Contract Partners across the U.S.
  • Manage subcontractor scope and performance contractual requirements
  • Leading mechanical and electrical conversations during project coordination meetings
  • Negotiate Cost of Contractor Installation to obtain best market price
  • Submit Request for Quotes, defining the scope of projects to contractors for quotes
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
  • Contractor Selection – Negotiates & Trains Local contractors on our products to obtain best cost
  • Execution – Acts as the General Contractor conducting project management
    • Manage manufacture, shipping, and offloading of equipment at customer site
    • Manage Installation at customers site to project schedule
    • Verify Installation meets Local Building Codes
  • Commissioning – Schedule with Lincoln Service
  • Organize, file, and track all project coordination and correspondence
  • Coordinates with Customer Account Manager to act as the primary point of customer contact for the project.
  • Presents project status to customer and Lincoln management
  • Coordinate/lead multiple projects of Med-high complexity
  • Negotiate Change Orders due to customer scope change
  • Execute, monitor and control the schedule, cost deliverables, risk management and scope to meet or exceed stakeholder and customer expectations. 
  • Proactively manages potential conflict and resource constraints
  • Evaluate and drive implementation and maintenance of appropriate project management tools.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Additional job duties as assigned
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Related bachelor's degree, preferably in Construction Management
  • 5 or more years’ experience in HVAC, building or construction project management, preferred
  • Strong consultative, organizational, and communication skills
  • Able to read blueprints
  • Demonstrated ability to moderate and lead projects and drive technical decisions
  • Ability to prepare technical and strategic issues for management decisions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to customers and leadership
  • Strong business sense, enterprise negotiation
  • Strong financial acumen and advanced use of analysis tools
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of the Material Requirements Planning (MRPII) process
  • Focused on customer needs, builds and maintains trust in relationship Strong knowledge of project management tools
