PURPOSE:   The Environmental, Safety & Compliance (ES&C) group is responsible for improving the environmental footprint, health and safety of the Cleveland Operations.   The industrial ventilation engineer will redesign, maintain and design dust collection systems.



  • Lead projects, programs, and processes designed to reduce dust and improve the environmental footprint of the Cleveland Operation’s production facilities.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for Dust control, Baghouse design and Combustible dust. Driving for compliance through adherence to NFPA Standards and the Ventilation Handbook.
  • Perform dust risk assessments on material Change Requests, new materials and new equipment.
  • Support other engineers in Plant Engineering to design and maintain effective and compliant dust control systems.
  • Work with outside contractors on installation and maintenance projects, ensuring contractor Safety and Compliance.
  • Work with the EHS department as new regulations are introduced to interpret the regulations and develop and implement the means to bring the Cleveland Operations to compliance.
  • Communicate and educate Cleveland Operations on new regulatory requirements and EHS programs.
  • Support day-to-day production operations on environmental and health issues.
  • Work with ISO 14001 coordinators and Operations to ensure compliances with all Title V dust collection systems.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory agencies and policies; NFPA, OSHA, NEC, Ventilation Handbook etc.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.



  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required in an engineering field.
  • Minimum 5-9 years depending on the level
  • Strong desire to take ownership and drive results.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Must have good judgment, be self-motivated, and be safety conscious
  • Ability to perform hands on work as required and work effectively on the shop floor with employees and processes
  • Strong Knowledge of NFPA, OSHA, Ventilation Handbook, ISO 14001, etc.
  • Ability to occasionally work off shifts, between facilities in Northeast Ohio, and travel as required (<10%).
