PURPOSE: Leads the development, operation, and technical support of Information Technology (IT) security solutions allowing Lincoln Electric to satisfy internal standards and obtain the goals as defined by management.  The person(s) involved in this role will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the IT Security Operations team and administration of the Email Security, Identity Governance and Administration, Single Sign-on, Multi-factor Authentication, and Scripting and Automation. Beyond what is documented below persons in this role will be responsible for any duties as defined by management.

 

Position is fully remote; applicants must be in Eastern Time Zone

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Oversees the day-to-day activities of the rest of the IT Security Operations team ensuring that they are completing projects and operational work as assigned.
  • Administers and supports critical scripts that support the employee onboarding processes etc.
  • Reviews and advises Manager on third party vendor due diligence forms.
  • Develops and improves metrics related to all areas of IT Security.  Supports Systems Development and Business unit activities through participation in projects for new Systems Development rollouts or production support through the SIR process.
  • Seeks solutions to security problems. Consults with the Manager, Information Security for more complex security related issue and decisions.
  • Persons in this role are expected to be largely self-sufficient and self-directed. While reporting to the Manager of IT Security it is expected that persons in this role can be given projects and some general direction and can then work independently to achieve their goals.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects is support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer or Information Systems, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of five plus years’ experience in IT Security.
  • Broad understanding of security design and terminology. Basic understanding of networking and firewall commands, application-level security, and vulnerability management.
  • Experience with Proofpoint, Okta, SailPoint, Crowdstrike, Securonix, Thycotic, and Scripting languages are highly desirable.
  • Provide support to the Organization on a 24x7 basis.  Weekend/Holiday and after-hours support may be required for this position.
