PURPOSE: Provide engineering support for the Maintenance Department in the Cleveland Operations.



  • Engineer safe, high quality, cost effective, ergonomic, and environmentally responsible manufacturing of PC boards for the Electronics Factory
  • Work can be electrical, mechanical, industrial or chemical in nature depending upon background and job assignment
  • Assist in improving and optimizing PC board testing
  • Work effectively with R&D, Plant Engineering, Maintenance, and other Electronics Factory employees to improve quality, manufacturability, and value of PC board designs
  • Interact professionally with external resources such as equipment suppliers and consultants
  • Coordinate activities of technical support personnel
  • Evaluate and implement employee suggestions
  • Perform cost analysis, initiate and implement cost reductions. 
  • Perform capability studies for quality improvements
  • Perform capacity studies for production improvements
  • Under general supervision, plan, conduct and supervise projects and factory support
  • Develop training resources for production employees as needed
  • Initiate, improve, and optimize manufacturing related processes and procedures
  • Review progress with management
  • Assist in setting strategic objectives and to administer corporate programs
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor



  • Minimum of a bachelors degrees in an engineering field
  • Prefer 3-8 years engineering experience 
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to handle a variety of assignments and changing priorities
  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent decision-making ability
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Able to perform hands-on work as required
  • Ability to occasionally work off shifts
  • May cross fields
