Summary:

Lincoln Electric is seeking a Senior Buyer for our Cleveland, Ohio headquarters. The Senior Buyer will play a key role in helping develop our purchase strategy and monitor execution of purchasing plan for  Consumable Division Chemicals as direct raw materials; supporting continuous improvements for costs, quality and delivery. Responsibilities:

• Responsible for sourcing and project leadership for various commodities with primary focus on the Consumable Division both regionally and globally.
• Interface closely with relevant departments to identify products and suppliers that meet Lincoln expectations.
• In conjunction with commodity strategies, identify, evaluate, and develop qualified suppliers.
• Negotiate raw material prices and supply agreements.
• Ensure quality, delivery and total cost objectives are met.
• Develop supply programs for changes in factory demand and inventory plan.
• Participate on cross-functional teams, including Production and Strategic Project teams
• Development and execution of sourcing plans with Regional Management & Global Purchasing Team.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.

 Required: 

• Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Management/Purchasing/Engineering OR equivalent degree.
• 5-10 years procurement/materials/engineering experience in manufacturing environment.
• Experience in negotiating with suppliers or customers, leadership skills and self-motivated, with excellent analytical skills (understands cost analysis).
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills; project management and the capability to work in a team environment 
• Ability to interface with external suppliers and travel on a global basis.
• Leadership skills with demonstrated successful results.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes for consumable operations.
• Proficient in SAP, office software and technology.
• Knowledge of international and domestic logistics systems.

Preferred:

• MBA or professional certification such CPSM or PMP, is a plus.
• Experience in the wiredrawing field a plus.
