PURPOSE: This position is responsible for ensuring the systems of internal control for Lincoln Electric North America Subsidiaries are in compliance with the Company’s Corporate Policies and SOX and FCPA compliance policies. This will be achieved by planning and performing “self-audits” of all Lincoln Electric North American Subsidiaries, including identifying and coordinating the necessary LE finance employees to perform the audits. In addition, the position is responsible for assisting with the integration of newly acquired North American companies to ensure they become compliant with Lincoln Electric financial reporting procedures, Corporate Policy, and internal control (SOX) and compliance (FCPA) requirements.



  • Responsible for determining whether the systems of internal control in place for assigned Lincoln Electric North America Subsidiaries.
  • Responsible for determining that assigned reporting entities are in compliance with operational policies and standards of ethical business practices that promotes the wellbeing of the Company.
  • This includes both SOX and FCPA compliance.
  • Provide reasonable assurance that the financial statements of assigned reporting entities are complete and accurate and comply with corporate policy and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Responsible for determining whether the system of controls at assigned subsidiaries over the development, maintenance, and operation of management information systems are sufficient to result in the processing or accurate and complete data.
  • Responsible for assisting with designating an annual plan for audit coverage that fulfills the responsibility of the Department. This plan will be tightly coordinated, compliment and support the
  • Lincoln Holdings Internal Audit plan. This includes the coordination of selfaudits.
  • Responsible for coordinating with the audit and finance resources located within the North
  • American operating entities including full time audit resources, consultants, and local finance personnel.
  • Responsible for assisting with the integration of North American acquisitions to the Lincoln Policies and Procedures
  • Will report to the VP Finance for the America’s



  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • CPA with a strong knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards, accounting principles, and a basic understanding of corporate income tax regulations.
  • Effective writing skills in order to communicate audit findings and management recommendations.
  • Four to eight years of auditing experience in a supervisory role.
  • Public and industry experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with people from all levels of an organization, both international and domestic.
  • Must maintain the highest level of integrity, ethics, and objectivity.
  • Fluency in Spanish is desirable.
  • Understanding of computerized information systems.
  • Will require travel to both domestic and international locations
