Front End Web Developer

PURPOSE:This position is responsible for supporting and developing customer facing front-end web/software applications for industrial IoT solutions.  With a focus on productivity and traceability using data from welding, cutting, and robotic systems, responsibilities will include the creation of user interfaces that turn basic data into actionable information.

• Develop front-end/web software applications for various systems including Windows, Azure, and Linux, focusing mainly on productivity and data collection solutions for customers.
• Collect and collaborate on functional specifications to create overall requirements.
• Complete software projects under the direction of senior developers or manages a group of individuals for specific tasks.
• Assist with external resources to enhance development capabilities.
• Track development requirements, tasks, and bugs with project tracking software (JIRA, GitLab, TFS).
• Interface with customers (internal and external) to assist with problem solving, debugging field problems and defining new requirements.
• Write software using various languages (C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS) and works with server-side infrastructure while learning to use new tools and libraries; plan development tasks according to requirements and estimate the effort required for completion.
• Assist with the creation of design documents, user stories, testing documents, and instruction manuals; considers future requirements and possibilities in line with the vision for Lincoln software applications; design software and architecture with this vision in mind.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of five year’s previous experience.
• Fluent in multiple code languages such as C#, Java, and JavaScript.  Experience building web applications using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and REST services.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks across projects.
• Established communication skills verbally and in writing.
• Ability to ramp up quickly on new tools and resources.
