Team Lead - PCB Layout

Title:                            Team Lead – PCB Layout

Job duties:                    Manage activities of PCB CAD team, team includes Senior PCB designers, CAD Drafters and third party contractors; perform complex and difficult PCB layout for high power and high speed boards; manage PCB footprint component libraries and design databases; collaborate with product design engineers, test engineers, and manufacturing engineers on required PCB design specifications and standards; maintain technical coordination with development engineers to resolve PCB design issues related to fabrication and/or manufacturing; provide estimates of efforts and progress on working towards assigned schedule; propose PCB design trade-offs to engineering design team for resolution and implementation; design to meet Performance/DFM/DFT specification requirements; provide training to engineers and designers including schematic capture and Mentor Graphics Expedition software; if required, provide training Mentor Graphics toolset and Omnify; remain current and knowledgeable of IPC industry standards as related to PCB design, fabrication, assembly and testing; serve as liaison between R&D and CAD employees to ensure accurate understanding of directives; assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed.


Requirements:            Must have Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering and 4 years of experience with constraint settings, routing, power plane, bill of materials, and DRC checks; conducting design reviews, DFM reviews, implementing feedback and Gerber generation; leading other PCB designers; using Omnify product lifecycle management system to design layout; performing quality checks; providing DFM/manufacturing support in layout design; and project management.
