PURPOSE:  Key technical resource interfacing with R&D, QA, and Manufacturing leadership to represent Service interests in the new product development and mature products change management process as well as provide technical content review for Technical Service Communications (documents, videos, technical training, etc.).



  • Lead or participate in projects to  put corrective actions into place or to improve field quality reporting processes or systems. Utilize strong technical background to identify and solve problems independently and in coordination with Engineering, QA, Manufacturing, and our global subsidiaries and suppliers.  Stand as a key technical resource for service department.
  • Using strong technical background, evaluate emerging field quality issues, communicating same to management team and stakeholders responsible for corrective actions through our CAPA system.
  • Lead, manage, or participate in corrective action projects that directly impact field quality.
  • Lead, manage, or participate in projects to reveal new reporting mechanisms, systems, or process improvements that enhance quality, timeliness, or visibility of field quality or product failure information.
  • Analysis of CRM's routed through the Service Department to ensure changes will not disrupt repair capabilities in the field.
  • Represent service interests in the cross-functional team developing new products. Utilize strong technical background to identify potential weaknesses and communicate risks clearly, effectively, and to various levels of management, as appropriate.



  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required and 3+ years of engineering experience required
  • 3+ years of engineering experience with a focus on manufacturing and research and development disciplines
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Access
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate proficiency or better in data mining from SAP and SAP BW
  • Capacity to gain advanced proficiency in warranty system, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, and ThingWorx reporting tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of various manufacturing process within the Equipment & Consumable Divisions
  • Understanding of Lincoln Electric's CRM, Stop Ship, and New Product Development processes
  • Advanced electrical/electronics circuit knowledge
  • Basic mechanical understanding
