PURPOSE:  The Treasury Analyst is responsible for leveraging banking systems and/or treasury management systems to establish the daily cash position for various Lincoln Electric legal entities.  This position must create and maintain short term cash forecasts to identify upcoming cash excesses or shortages.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Utilize Kyriba treasury management system to establish daily cash position for multiple bank accounts and companies under the Lincoln Electric ownership structure
  • Identify upcoming cash excesses or shortages and work with Global Cash Manager to deploy cash where needed
  • Work with bank to resolve issues related to the company’s bank accounts and bank account management, including compliance reporting.
  • Assist Global Cash Manager with identifying short term investment alternatives and evaluating the risk involved in such investments
  • Assist with management of inter-company loan portfolio as needed
  • Maintain and update corporate bank account database
  • Support Global Cash Manager in procurement of banking products that create value for Lincoln Electric
  • Carry out analyses related to bank fee charges, interest income, interest expense, etc. for various Lincoln Electric companies
  • This position will have responsibility for European cash management, so the normal working hours will begin earlier in the day with a corresponding early finish to the day
  • Successful candidate will approach the job with a strong sense of ownership and accountability and an intense focus on accomplishing objectives
  • Some responsibilities may change as business needs change

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Finance, Accounting or Economics.  Candidates not meeting this criterion may be considered if she/he has significant relevant experience to perform the job.
  • Experience in a finance or accounting related field
  • New college graduates may be considered based on relevant internship experience or a high level of academic achievement within the desired degree (Finance, Accounting, or Economics)
  • Experience using treasury management systems (Kyriba, etc.)
  • Experience in the banking field or within a treasury organization
  • Cash management experience within a corporation
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to think on a macro level
  • Ability to aggregate and analyze data from multiple sources to create forecast models and test those models against actual results
  • Analysis skills to uncover anomalies in data and determine the root cause
  • Ability to establish and foster communications with key global partners within the company to create and maintain cash forecasts for liquidity planning
  • Must be able to work efficiently to meet multiple deadlines throughout the day
