PURPOSE: To perform X-Ray tests and other sample testing tasks for the Euclid Consumable Division.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Use laboratory equipment to prepare chemicals, mixes, and wire samples for in-process, or finished goods analysis
  • Prepare chemicals, flux, and stick electrode formula samples and analyze using an x-ray fluorescence spectrometer to verify that they meet specifications
  • Prepare stainless and nickel wire samples and analyze using an x-ray fluorescence spectrometer to verify that surface conditions meet specifications
  • Responsible for the quality of work performed on shift
  • Follow Special Order procedures and all other procedures related to the job
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Miscellaneous duties as assignment by the Quality Assurance Supervisor
  • Reports to the X-Ray Coordinator
  • Rotating shift work
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Excellent attendance and the ability to work without Supervision
  • Industrious, reliable, and able to work accurately on repetitive operations
  • Familiarity with Consumable Division products is preferred
  • Possess a high level of quality consciousness
  • Ability to plan own work schedule and work exceptionally well with others in QA, Production, and Supervision
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Must be able to set priorities, plan work, and organize the work each day to maximize efficiency
  • Must have basic PC operating skills
