The Sales Manager, Rimrock Corp. will be responsible for identifying and closing new business across North America.  The Sales Manager will evaluate potential customers; build relationships with decision-makers capable of purchasing capital equipment, and close sales agreements.  In combination with the sales efforts, the Sales Manager will help determine customer needs and insights for the centralized development engineers to incorporate into new product designs.  Will be responsible for increase brand awareness through trade shows, conferences, industry events, corporate website, marketing videos, and internet based digital media, by effectively leading marketing efforts.  Will be a good listener, and speaker, to help customers, and employees, understand company direction, and recommendations.The Sales Manager will report to the General Manager, Rimrock Corp. This position is located in Columbus, Ohio.

 

 

JOB DUTIES

 

  1. Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  2. Assigns sales territories, set sales goals, and establish training programs for sales team.
  3. Analyzes sales statistics gathered by mining sales data to assist in inventory requirements and to monitor customers' preferences.
  4. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels within the organization, and externally with customers, potential customers, and industry professionals.
  5. Maintains and expands customer base by counseling sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
  6. Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
  7. Increase customer loyalty, market awareness and market share.
  8. Formulate value-selling based professional proposals based on customer needs. Quote and negotiate prices and terms.
  9. Plans and organizes sales strategies that include individual account plans to meet or exceed company targets for units, dollars and gross profits.
  10. Maintains up-to-date call logs, prospects lists in a contact management database.
  11. Manages and controls sales and marketing related expenses.
  12. Submits reports detailing won and lost sales activities including lessons learned
  13. Ensures branding and marketing efforts are aligned with corporate business strategy through equipment demonstrations, digital communications, customer contacts, trade shows, etc.
  14. Identifies emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  15. Provides a strong focus on customer service.
  16. Provides goals and objective to supervisor and staff.  Includes hiring, training and developing and establishing goals and reviews.
  17.  Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed in support of Lincoln Electric’s strategic plan and 2020 Vision.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field
  2. 5-7 years of proven successful sales experience (preferably in B2B industrial equipment sales)
  3. Ability to travel within NA and internationally as required
  4. Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
  5. Demonstrable computer literacy including, MS Office Suite programs, and Customer relationship management (CRM) packages
  6. Cooperative, self-motivated, independent, goal oriented
  7. Proven success in negotiation and problem-solving
  8. Previous experience with management of Independent Manufacturers Representatives a plus
  9. Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  10. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, workshops, seminars and conferences; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks
  11. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels within the organization, and externally with customers, potential customers, and industry professionals.
