Purpose:

We are looking for a passionate individual to deliver software for industrial robotic systems.  The successful candidate will work effectively with a small team of developers at all levels of software development including low-level algorithm design, high-level architectures, requirements analysis, testing, and deployment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work at all level of the software engineering process (analysis, architecture & design, development, documentation, integration, test, etc.)
  • Proactively gather requirements directly from users & sales people
  • Form strategies to solve complex, ill-defined problems
  • Write high quality code (well designed, readable, testable, efficient, etc.)
  • Document and maintain various codebases
  • Keeps job knowledge current through continual studying of latest development methodologies and technologies
  • Communicate effectively in a small team of software engineering professionals
  • Ability to work independently
  • Maintain sufficient personal organization to enable effective multi-tasking and strong attention to detail
  • Recommend improvement to existing software and/or the creation of new software
  • Create software tools to automate processes and metrics
  • User interface design
  • Work "hands-on" with industrial robotic systems

 

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic software development fundamentals (object oriented, test driven development, domain driven development, design patterns/principles, etc.)
  • Experience with at least one OO language (C# .NET preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft VisualStudio
  • The innate desire to derive satisfaction from a job well done and to seek out challenging (and rewarding) tasks
  • BS in computer science, computer/electrical engineering or other related field
  • Basic understanding of robot kinematics and trajectory planning
  • Experience and interest in 3D scanning technology, both hardware and software
  • Desire to work with robotics
