PURPOSE:  Responsible for providing Customer Service & Technical support including troubleshooting, repair, installation, maintenance, and training on various types of industrial automation equipment. Service & support activities will be performed both on-site at a customer’s facility or in-house at a company owned location.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION – DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:   (Including but not limited to the following)

  1. Set up PLC and robot communications on new and old equipment.
  2. Communicate between Tooling Tech and PLC Programmers.
  3. Set up new and refurbished cells at customer facilities.
  4. Responsibilities for troubleshooting and maintaining plant equipment.
  5. General manufacturing engineering duties, working with robotics programming
  6. Document and organize all technical details.
  7. Optimize equipment, cycle time reduction and minimize downtime.
  8. Work on several projects in various stages of completion.
  9. Travel throughout the country including Mexico and Canada 75%+

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

 

  1. High school, GED, Vocational High School or Technical College or equivalent experience.
  2. 2 years’ experience as a Service Technician
  3. Mechanical skills to include, plumbing, assembly of small and large components and shimming
  4. Robot skills to include ABB, Fanuc, Motoman, Panasonic, Kuka, etc. touch up and basic programming a minimum
  5. Electrical skills to include low voltage component replacement and debug
  6. 480 Electrical experience a plus
  7. Basic PLC knowledge and I/O to the robot a plus
  8. Basic Faro Arm knowledge a plus
  9. Basic Cut and Etch knowledge a plus
  10. Project management and customer control skills required
  11. Basic to intermediate Spot welding and MIG welding knowledge required
