Manufacturing Engineer

Position Summary:  Manage the planning, scheduling, and control of production resources required to assure on-time shipment of product to the customer for the Build to Print Business and/or Engineered products.                     

Role qualifications:

  • Must be familiar with Company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives.
  • Be aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of quality objectives.

Position responsibilities:

  • Perform production planning of all Lincoln Electric Automation designed products.
  • Analyze components for Make/Buy decisions.
  • Act as Production Planning liaison in Project Teams, working with Supervision, Machine Builders, Toolmakers and Engineers as required to assure schedules are met.
  • Recommend necessary changes to Management as appropriate to assure continuous improvement of results.
  • Interface with Suppliers as required to assure proper order fulfillment.
  • Assume responsibility for assuring the ISO and QMS requirements are maintained in area of responsibility such as products from vendors.
  • Completion of Request for Quotes (RFQ’s)
  • Entering jobs into the system for Engineered Systems and Build to Print
  • Maintain the Machine Shop Scheduling / Capacity planning for Engineered Systems and Build to Print.
  • Complete budget adjust for Engineered Systems and BTP.
  • Responsible for NCR’s such as schedule revisions, budget adjustments and ordering material.
  • Responsible for data collection, submission, project management and implementation of PAR’s.
  • Responsible for systems such as Epicor SME, PRO.FILE SME, PROFILE Licensing, Engineering Release Debug, SQL, Biztalk, Epicor Support and Develop Epicor reports.
  • Responsible for process improvements within control.
  • Tracking of Metrics in areas of influence and Engineered Systems and Build to Print.


Essential skills and experience:

  • Minimum of two year degree in Engineering or related field required.
  • 5 years experience in various aspects of production, production planning and estimating preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills


Nonessential skills and experience:

  • Computer proficiency, including spreadsheets.
  • Negotiating Skills, Project Management, and Materials Management training.
