PURPOSE: To actively grow and maintain a technically challenging welding products and automation sales territory based in Northern Michigan.


  • Engage Large and Medium Sized End Users to deliver Lincoln’s Total Value Proposition to increase sales. Provide technical support, training, and demonstrations to assist in driving sales results. Develop long term relationships for mutually beneficial results. Maintain user profiles in well-known CRM tool.
  • Partner with local distributors to build the Lincoln brand and help achieve mutually beneficial sales goals.
  • Conduct training programs for new products, provide demonstrations, and support all distributor sales activities.
  • Support Schools and Educational Events involved with welding and automation. Coordinate training programs and assist in maintaining excellent relationships with instructors and school administrators.
  • Drive corporate and regional strategic initiatives in the territory.
  • Assist End Users, Distributors, and Educational Institutions in taking advantage of productivity programs, demonstrations, and training offered at our world headquarters in Cleveland, OH.
  • Coordinate and partner with Lincoln’s many sister divisions to unlock value for end user customers.
  • Coordinate with Engineering in the field test and development of new products.
  • Completion of training program on the Lincoln product line.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering discipline strongly preferred; Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical/engineering, and mechanical skills.
  • Trainable in Sales Force CRM software.
  • Knowledge of software applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must have dependable transportation.
  • Must be highly organized and possess ability to handle large volumes of data / information
  • Ability to relocate to Mount Pleasant Michigan Area.
