Production Team Lead--2nd Shift

Kaliburn Inc., a subsidiary of Lincoln Electric, engineers and manufactures plasma cutting systems, plasma torches, plasma consumables and control system units for high-tech cutting applications. This role is responsible for ensuring all production cells are actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and production schedules.  The Production Team Lead provides effective training to the cells and ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times.  The Production Team Lead will assemble products by using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble/test parts.   

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work with supervisor/planner to set goals and manage staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedule are met
  • Coordinate and serve as mentor for employee training
  • Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Production Supervisor
  • Work closely with support staff such as Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervisor, Materials and Logistics to resolve issues
  • Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work
  • Update production metrics and facilitate regular team communication
  • Identify and support continuous improvement using LEAN Principles
  • Maintain a clean and organized production environment to facilitate manufacturing functions
  • Ensure safe working conditions
  • Perform general duties as assigned and assist in other areas as workload requires

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • High school diploma and two years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety roles, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Strong organizational skills
