Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer will design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications. 



  • Complete full life cycle development using structured design methodologies including test driven development, unit testing, code reviews and scrums
  • Design, develop, test and maintain Windows services and applications
  • Diagnose, resolve software defects, and write unit tests to validate solution
  • Work closely with test analysts to develop regression and automated test systems
  • Complete manager assigned tasks across concurrent projects delivering on team commitments
  • Validate products in cutting lab and, occasionally, at third party sites
  • Communicate an accurate state of work to cross functional team
  • Deliver high quality, reliable, testable, reusable software that aligns to requirements
  • Effectively communicate risk with full transparency
  • Work effectively within a cross-functional team to deliver quality products on time
  • Follow software repository management policy
  • Estimate task duration based on functional requirements
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Develop architecture and write well designed, testable, reusable code



  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or an Accredited Bachelors of Science Degree in an engineering program focused on software development
  • Proven 5+ years’ experience developing commercial software
  • Ability to plan and estimate task duration
  • Strong and current commercial programming experience with C# or similar object-oriented language
  • Object Orientation analysis, design and programming
  • Strong analytical & reasoning skills with ability to visualize solutions and outcome
  • Passion for solving problems
  • Strong knowledge of multi-threaded parallel processing methodologies
  • Strong understanding of real time systems
  • Deep understanding of design patterns and software design methodologies
  • Excellent knowledge of rationale databases, SQL and ORM technologies
  • Technical, persistent mindset with strong attention to detail


  • Knowledge and application of graph theory
  • Interfaces to material management systems
  • WPF and MVVM design pattern
  • Entity Framework or similar persistence framework
  • Experience with modeling tools (Mathematica, MathCad, Maple, MatLab, Simulink, UML)
  • Ability to read and understand electronic schematics
