Western Regional Sales Representative--North America

The Lincoln Electric Company--Kaliburn location, eengineers and manufactures plasma cutting systems, plasma torches, plasma consumables and control system units for high-tech cutting applications. PRIMARY FUNCTION

Actively manage and grow North American sales in a defined region; develop regional strategic initiatives for the PythonX Brand and sub-brands. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Actively participate & contribute to the process of achieving profitable sales to drive sales growth
  • Manage the assigned North American sales region defined as Western Region
  • Develop strategies to leverage the value proposition to sell at a premium
  • Provide regular market assessments as it relates to our competition’s value proposition, innovations and activities
  • Ability to assess WIN’s & LOSS’s analytically and provide thoughtful feedback towards product innovations and improvements, sales strategies, and methodologies
  • Drive relationships within the existing/prospective client base as well as the Lincoln Electric sales network of Managers and TSR’s
  • Build long-term relationships that reinforce and support the client’s purchase decision throughout the sales cycle
  • Travel as required with a minimum expectation of 25% or more
  • Participate in tradeshows, quarterly sales meetings and regional Lincoln Electric sales meetings as required
  • Actively drive the use of SalesForce to track opportunities and record activities
  • Provide feedback on marketing initiatives that includes successes and insightful suggestions that help drive the Lincoln Electric and PythonX brand message
  • Conduct site demonstrations for potential clients at existing PythonX client facilities
  • Perform general duties as assigned and assist in other areas as workload requires

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Robotics / Automation / Large Capital Equipment sales background
  • Relevant experience in a structural steel/fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment and/or a network of key accounts with strong developed relationships
  • Success in large capital equipment sales or thorough knowledge of steel manufacturing machinery
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a regional portfolio in excess of $10 million in annual sales
  • Self-motivated and driven with ability to work independently while leading by example
  • Relationship builder with good presentation skills
  • Negotiator with strong listening skills and a proven ability to sell value at a premium
  • Motivator with a demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate internally as well as externally
  • Located in Western USA
  • Team player able to travel both domestically and internationally as necessary “to get the job done”
  • Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Skilled in presentation composition and communication, both live and virtual
     
     

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with Salesforce
