Baker Industries, a subsidiary of Lincoln Electric, is a custom tool, accessory, and mold manufacturing partner. We currently have 5 plants, totaling about 250,000 square feet in Macomb, Michigan, and we are still growing. In 2018, Modern Machine Shop named us "Top Shop". We are home to a wide variety of CNC machines and other machining and manufacturing equipment, including the largest 5-axis machining center in North America, the EMCO Mecof PowerMill. We create innovative solutions for ergonomics, light weight, precision and speed. We work with some of the biggest names in the aerospace and automotive industries, both nationwide and internationally.

    Essential Functions
  • Multi-limb coordination: the ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down
  • Manual dexterity: the ability to quickly move your hand, your hand along with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects

  • Arm and hand stability: the ability to keep the hand and arm steady while moving the arm or while holding the arm and hand in one position
  • Static force: the ability to exert maximum muscular force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects
  • Reaction time: the ability to respond quickly (with hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, image) when it appears
  • Stamina: the ability to physically exert yourself for long periods of time without getting out of breath
  • Depth perception: the ability to judge which of several objects is closer or farther from you, or to judge the distance between you and an object
  • Operation and control: control of equipment or systems operations
  • Active listening: paying full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
  • Critical thinking: using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Coordination: adjusting actions in relation to the actions of others
  • Judgment and decision making: considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
