PURPOSE:  This role will engineer, plan and execute the end to end material flow process for the Cobot SBU from supplier to end user.  The role is responsible for meeting customer service expectations while balancing inventory and cost objectives of the business. The Successful candidate will collaborate with suppliers, operations, manufacturing, logistics and other supply chain partners to execute the strategic business plan with a hands on approach.



Demand planning (customer facing process – Outbound)

  • Create Business level Demand Plan
  • Forecast monthly orders
  • Maintain accurate demand planning parameters in SAP
  • Set appropriate levels of Cycle Stocks, Safety Stocks and ROP to support business
  • Collaborate with Sales and customer service to attain high Stock Availability metrics (SBU Fill Rates)
  • Meet SBU Finished goods Days of Stock and Turns goals
  • Manage E&O risk to target levels
  • Measure supplier attainment levels utilizing SAP BW Tools and techniques.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to improve service and reduce inventory
  • Create ad hoc reports to inform demand planning organization of service or inventory status
  • Work with manufacturing to ensure that demand plan is met and load is smoothed out over operating cycle.


Supply Planning (Vendor Facing process – Inbound)

  • Communicate demand plan to key suppliers
  • Share dependent demand plan and forecast with key suppliers
  • Maintain accurate supply planning parameters in SAP
  • Convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders.
  • Release purchase orders
  • Monitor vendor on time delivery metrics
  • Monitor DC receiving and put away activity to ensure timely receipt of inbound purchases
  • Update delivery dates.  Monitor delivery performance. Adjust planning system to ensure stock availability. 

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering
  •  5 + years of experience in manufacturing supply chain environment
  • Ability to develop and document procedures and work instructions for others. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. 




 Qualifications Desired:

  • Three years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with SAP

  • Work Environment: Normal office environment and work on the manufacturing floor.  Remote work is being required at times.  While performing the duties of the position, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme heat, and extreme cold.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel is occasional.
