This position to CONTRACT to DIRECT HIRE for the right candidate


Position Summary:  Build, integrate, program, install, repair and maintain various types of automation equipment at Easom, and at customer’s facilities.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring, and plumbing schematics, and machine programs.
  • Read and decipher weld call-outs.
  • Be proficient in assembly principles, machining, welding, wiring, and plumbing.
  • Solve problems independently and as a member of a team.
  • Be proficient in programming robots for welding and material handling, from scratch.
  • Know how to load and set robot control parameters.
  • Must know how to program the robot controller I/O and interface communication.
  • Must have sound trouble-shooting skills.
  • Be able and willing to travel as required to successfully complete projects.
  • Work well with customers as required to successfully complete projects.
  • Communicate effectively with others while on assignment to provide detailed reports and updates.
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy parts and tools.


Education and Experience:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or College Degree
  • Continuing technical education (college level, vocational or tech institute based) highly desirable.
  • 5 plus years’ experience with machine building.
  • Able to develop Robot programs
  • Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic experience.
  • Operate forklift
  • On the job training as builder, toolmaker, welder, and electrician.
  • Shop math
  • Blue print reading
  • Programming training as required to solve problems.
  • Ability to travel 30%

  • Physical demands:  While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk and hear.   Be able to climb ladders; lift hand tools approx. 1-15 lbs in weight to complete machine assembly, parts up to 50 lbs.  Repetition with activity. 
  • Work environment:  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
