Position Summary:   Capable of controls integration, debugging controls related issues (Hardware and Software), testing, installation and service of machinery and equipment at Easom and on the customer floor.  Required travel will be 80%, out of state and out of country travel also required.

 

Job Duties and Rsponsibilities

  • Provide support and/or work independently programming, debugging, integrating, testing, run-off, and off site installations.
  • Ability to debug complete machine control programs, including HMI screens and safety interlock controls
  • Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens PLC's and HMI's
  • Knowledge of Servo drives and motors for programming and debugging parameters.
  • Good working knowledge of Robotic Software options and external Axis control
  • Experience in industrial networking & various communication protocols including Ethernet, Devicenet, RIO, etc.
  • A general knowledge of AC/DC power, motors, drives/motion control, industrial controls, pneumatic valves and sensors.
  • Proven industrial troubleshooting in both electrical circuitry and PLC
  • Experience with robotic welding (arc, laser, resistance); material handling; custom machine controls
  • Read and interpret WD’s, Bills of Material, supplier’s controls diagram and related specifications.
  • Maintain control of controls materials lay-up for installations of projects.
  • Report any material shortages to the Service leader.
  • Review and return all redline and mark up on electrical drawings and software, HMI changes.
  • Assemble or repair equipment, including using basic hand and power tools.
  • Solve problems independently and as a member of a team.
  • Work well with suppliers and customers as required to successfully complete projects.
  • Work well with Customer, Engineers, Management, Pipe & Wire staff and support functions.
  • Work at customer facilities providing installation support and service, following customer safety and facility requirements.
  • Provide timely status reports including travel expenses, services provided, and labor hours as well as supporting lessons learned documentation.
  • Process work records as required.
  • Assure on-time start-up.
  • Assure safe working conditions.
  • Enforce the policies and procedures of Easom Automation / Lincoln Electric (example Attendance Policy & Time Clock Use).

Job Duties and Responsibilites:
 

  • Minimum High School Diploma (Associates degree preferred)
  • 2-5 years manufacturing /machining production installation experience.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office
  • Must have excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Physical demands:  While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Repetition with activity; computer work.

  • Ability to climb stairs or ladders, work at various heights, lift hand tools approx. 1-15 lbs in weight to complete machine assembly, parts up to 50 lbs.  Repetition with activity. 
  • Work environment:  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
