Position Summary

The Senior Account Manager maintains and grows relationships with large customers, while achieving an assigned sales and profit growth goal. The most important customer interactions are face-to-face meetings. 


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to assigned customer
  • Sell and support Easom current and expanding products and services
  • Write consist detailed RFQ requirements, with technical specifications and develop a plan to win profitable business
  • Retain existing business, while pursuing profitable growth opportunities in assigned customer accounts
  • Able to identify competition, in offering product/solutions and price points to win business
  • Assist and/or review all proposals going to the customer
  • Build and maintain strong, long lasting customer relationship
  • Focus on customers with high-value, strategic growth opportunity
  • Present objective and positive account management between customer, company and any team associates in the company
  • Keep Project management abreast of any special  needs or requirements the customer may have
  • Assist customer promptly in routing issues to all areas of the company as needed
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customers’ needs and objectives
  • Present all Engineering change Orders to customer
  • Assist Finance in collections of any overdue accounts
  • Negotiate and assist in reasonable terms in delivery and payments with the customer, with management approval
  • Selling new or additional products or services to current buyers; and/or new contacts
  • Achieve assigned sales and profitability goal(s)
  • Sells the companies complete offering of products and services
  • Leads all aspects of the sales process, calling upon others to assist in solution development and proposal delivery, as needed, or as directed by management
  • Develops customer account plans for all assigned customers by leading a joint company/customer planning process that identifies relevant customer needs, prioritizes initiatives and company investments, and establishes a clear action plan for success
  • Forecast and track key account metrics
  • Maintain account call log by Company, customer, contact information, due monthly
  • Maintain and develop a personal sales plans with Quarterly reviews with management
  • Sharing of account opportunities or leads within the company is a requirement
  • Joint Sales Credit shall be given to parties directly involved, management will decide splits
  • Develop a relationship with Lincoln Sales and Technical Sales Representatives (TSR) for joint pursuits.

Education and Experience

  • Two year degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of industrial automation market
  • Minimum five years of equipment/systems sales experience (Automotive or Automation)
  • Communication abilities
  • Business ethics
  • Technical Engineering background
  • PC proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Sales Data Base software
  • Position requires travel, Passport required
