Position Summary:  This is a temporary position that could go direct.  The selected individuals will fabricate equipment and parts for Easom designed machinery. Generally performing the following: Cut stock, prep edges, position, clamp, weld, and finish metal fabrications.

                                   

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fabricate - weld components as required by internal or customer drawings and specifications.
  • Follow fabrication procedures.
  • Process work records as required.
  • Review and return all redline and mark up on mechanical drawings.
  • Work with teams or work independently supporting shipping of equipment.
  • Maintain control of materials for projects.
  • Report any material shortages to the Supervisor or Materials planning group.
  • Assure on-time product shipments.
  • Assure safe working conditions.
  • Solve problems independently and as a member of a team.
  • Adhere to, and enforce the policies and procedures of Easom Automation.
  • Work well with Fabricators, Machinists, Engineers, Management, and support functions.

 

Education and Experience

  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • 5-10 years welding experience
  • Ability to read and interpret developmental blueprints, Bills of Material, specifications and weld symbols.
  • Assemble equipment, including the use of  basic hand and power tools.
  • Operate forklift and overhead crane.
  • Must be able to select and adjust welding equipment parameters.
  • Must be able to perform certified welder quality work (welding certification preferred)
  • Should be able to weld with multiple processes (stick, MIG / MAG, TIG, etc.)
  • Have a good understanding of mathematics.
  • Must be able to use inspection tools, gauges, calipers, tape measures, etc.
  • Must have good communication skills and a basic level of computer skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Physical demands:  While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk and hear.  
  • Be able to climb ladders; lift hand tools approx. 1-15 lbs in weight to complete machine assembly, parts up to 50 lbs.  Repetition with activity. 
  • Work environment:  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
