Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Production Planner to join our team. The qualified candidate will support the production team by evaluating the order backlog, planning production activities, printing and organizing production documents, and assisting the production supervisor with scheduling activities.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and distribute the top level production schedule
  • Identify work orders required to produce parts and subassemblies needed to achieve the production schedule
  • Identify parts shortages and evaluate available inventory to aid in production scheduling
  • Generate production work order packets including work orders, production prints, and other documentation
  • Run production reports and present data as required
  • Expedite production work orders when necessary
  • Aid in routing updates and maintenance of master data
  • Support closing work orders and operations upon completion of production activities
  • Attends production meetings and participates in production support activities
  • Adhere to all health and safety requirements
  • Support Continuous Improvement and process development activities
    • All other duties as assigned


Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-3 years of experience with ERP/MRP systems; SAP experience preferred
  • 0-3 years of experience with Microsoft Office; proficiency in Microsoft Excel desired
  • Must be able to perform complex tasks requiring independent knowledge and its application to non-routine situations
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized
