Currently we seek a detail oriented and well organized Operations Managers who is looking to apply their leadership skills in a company where they can make a positive difference; this is a key management position reporting directly to the Managing Director.  The Operations Manager must have hands on experience with machining and machine assembly practices, as well as good knowledge of systems and procedures for small and medium sized manufacturing companies, preferably in California. 
 

Arc Products has designed and manufactured automated welding equipment focused on fixed automation and orbital TIG, since 1980. Located in beautiful San Diego, California’s South Bay area, Arc engineers and manufactures standard and custom automation systems for simple to complex applications. The rugged equipment incorporates the latest and proven technologies providing a high-quality and consistent product with an outstanding level of service and support.

SUMMARY & KEY COMPETENCIES

The successful leader of Arc’s Operations department will perform the duties of the Operations Manager ensuring the safe and timely completion of production schedules or department work effectively utilizing people, equipment and material directly or through department group leaders; the individual must consistently demonstrate the positive attributes and competencies stated in the sections below. “Leadership is the professed desire and commitment to serve others … through effectively demonstrating the character, experience, humility, wisdom and discernment necessary to create the trust and influence to cause the right things, to happen for the right reasons, at the right times.”

EDUCATION & TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, MBA strongly preferred
  • 10 years of industrial experience and 5 years of managing a large team of at least 20+ employees

    Environmental Health & Safety

  • Training and clear understanding;
  • Work related safety and environmental regulations.
