Part Time Engineering Tech

Purpose

This Engineering tech role is ideal for someone enthusiastic and looking to pursue a career in Product Design and Product Sustaining Engineering. Engineering techs will be involved in a wide variety of applications

The Harris Products Group Engineering Programs provide meaningful experiences that will enhance your education. This position will be based at Carthage, TN. This position will challenge your engineering skills and provide an opportunity to learn while you earn.  The position will give candidates the chance to gain practical experience that will prepare you for a future at Harris Products Group. The projects you will work on are real. As a member of the program, you will be exposed to a broad range of engineering concepts in manufacturing such as:

  • Standard Operating Procedures
  • Time Studies
  • Value/Cost Engineering
  • Tooling design

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Engineers to support new product development.
  • Review product design for better processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Develop manufacturing processes to create new products.
  • Analyze and improve the quality and production.
  • Work in an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers on production support.

Qualifications

  • Pursing a degree in the Engineering field
  • Ability to work in the United States.
  • Desire to work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • Capable of working in a team environment.
