Responsible for carrying out and documenting the Bright Dip treatment of designated product in accordance with engineering and procedural specifications.  Maintains the quality of treated product by performing in-process inspections as outlined by Quality and Machine Shop procedures.  Must obtain and maintain all certifications as required by Federal regulations.  Position requires a high regard for safety and ISO at all times.



Performs all actions needed to operate assigned equipment and complete the Bright Dip operation as specified by engineering requirements and work instructions. 


Checks and adjusts chemicals titration in related equipment.  Performs in-process inspections per Quality and Machine Shop procedures.  Documents inspections and operation on the appropriate forms.  Moves treated product to the next operation or Stock. 


Responsible to perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and to clean and maintain titration equipment as detailed in engineering specifications and work instructions.  When required, assists Chip Room Attendant and Waste Treatment Technician in the treatment and transport of drummed waste.  Obtains the Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Certification (HAZWOPER) per Federal requirements, and maintains said permit by attending annual training as required by the issuing authority.


Works safely and supports safety within their team across the organization – as required.

Participates in safety training and demonstrate a high regard for safety at all times.

Wears PPE as required by safety regulations.


Maintains quality by treating designated product according to engineering and procedural requirements.


Works on cost savings projects and Six Sigma projects and provides support for other team members and projects.

Attends team meetings.  Utilizes lean tools:  5S, visual factory concepts in maintaining order and cleanliness.


Education and/or Experience     


Required – 2 or more years of related work experience and High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must be computer literate.

Preferred – Industrial maintenance experience.  Chemical knowledge. 


PFT Required:


Satisfactory completion of a Pulmonary Function Test is required before placement in the position and retesting is required if there is a change in the employee’s health or change in exposure.
