Assembly Technician

Role qualifications:
High school diploma/GED, vocational/technical school or equivalent work experience
Position responsibilities:
Basic understanding of blueprint/assembly print reading.
Understands all thread pitches for both metric/standard bolts & the corresponding tap sizes
Understands all dowel diameters & corresponding reamer sizes
Taps & Reams properly
Understands the different Loctite & their applications.
Inventories all components in sub boxes
Inspect components to the part print when an error occurs
Properly assembles sub components to the assembly print
Torques all bolts properly with Loctite & serrated lock washers installed
Properly fill out missing parts tag including due date for the part
Check for missing part on due date
Properly fill out non-conformance sheet for modifications done in assembly
Properly assemble cars & rails using company procedure
Locate CAD drawings for the assembly process
Installs the correct type & size plumbing fittings per job
Proper installation of Helicoil & thread inserts
Essential skills and experience:
Basic measurement skills
Basic hand/power tool knowledge
Basic mechanical ability
