Tenessee Rand, a subsidiary of Lincoln Electric, is a full service automation integrator. We provide engineering, machining, and integrated robotic systems with core competencies in advanced welding system design, high-quality weld fixtures, robotic integration, process automation, and ongoing service and support.

PURPOSE: To assist the Manufacturing Engineering department with daily needs.



  1. Conducting reach studies to support the Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering departments.
  2. Implementing 5S procedures throughout the plant.
  3. Assembling robotic systems and tooling in the Integration Department.
  4. Support in completing all Tennessee Rand documentation created by the Manufacturing Engineering department.
  5. Assisting, as needed, in the Integration Department to help complete daily activities and projects.



  1. High school, GED, Vocational High School or Technical College or equivalent experience.  In the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  2. A basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
  3. Basic understanding of design for structural components and assemblies, specifically as they pertain to robotic integrated equipment.
  4. Capable of providing technical solutions to manufacturing requirements.
  5. Basic understanding of mechanical components (metric and standard fasteners, socket head cap screws, button head, hex head, flat head and dowel pins).

The employee is occasionally required to sit.  The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and will be working around pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.  The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
