Summary:

 

The Lincoln Electric Company is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Cleveland headquarters. The Electrical Engineer will work within the Industrial Electrics Group business unit as a design engineer to develop new and/or improve existing products. This is a pivotal role supporting Lincoln's innovative technology.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Work in R&D on the design, development, and innovation of new products for the Industrial Electrics Business Unit
  • Serve as a hardware engineer for the development and/or modification of circuits, PCBs, magnetic components, and complete welding products.
  • Work closely with software engineers to fulfill a product definition.
  • Perform and supervise the testing of new designs, processes, warranty improvements and cost reductions.
  • Coordinates the activities of technical support personnel and may lead cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with team colleagues, R&D, Manufacturing, Production, Supply, Quality and Service Departments to establish and achieve objectives.
  • Engineer safe, high quality, cost effective, ergonomic, and environmentally responsible parts, subsystems, and complete machines.
  • Support Sales, Marketing, Service and customer issues as required.
  • Coordinate activities of technical support personnel as required.

 

 Education & Experience Required:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of professional experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organization skills and able to manage multiple projects at once 
  • Experience in design, testing and troubleshooting.
