Summary

 

Lincoln Electric is seeking an Engineering Technician for our Euclid, Ohio headquarters. The Engineering Technician will provide technical and process support for Lincoln's R&D Engineers in the area of new product development.

What You Will Do

 

  • Our Engineering Technicians provide technical support to engineers and scientists in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development.
  • You will use schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems.
  • Gather, maintain, format, compile and manipulate technical data using established formulae and procedures and performs detailed mathematical calculations.
  • Work collaboratively in Lincoln’s Machine R&D laboratory assisting multiple projects in the design, construction, and testing of welding products.
  • Use data acquisition system, computers, and CAD as required. Assist in the preparation of documentation.
  • Operate basic lab equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, temperature recorders, etc. (Training provided as needed).
  • Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.

 

Required Education & Experience

 

  • Technician III: Vocational training and 5+ years of experience in a relevant work environment  OR  high school diploma/GED with 7+ years experience in a relevant work environment.
  • Knowledge and skills to execute analytical and scientific methods.
  • Highly motivated, quick to learn, and safety conscious. Ability to organize and maintain a neat work area.
  • Experience working on multiple projects with supervision and clear instruction.
  • Experience using common laboratory equipment; read and comprehending wiring diagrams, schematics and test specifications.
  • Capable of lifting 60 pounds on an occasional basis.
