PURPOSE: Performs General Accounts Payable duties including auditing of Expense and Pcard reports.  Ensure accuracy of data and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.  Interact inter-departmentally and with internal and external customers on a routine basis.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Accurately enter signature approved and PO-related invoices into the Account Payable System.
  • Obtain and verify approvals according to policy and ensure appropriate support documentation is provided.
  • Reconcile vendor statements to Accounts Payable and resolve differences.
  • Work with buyers, various site and department personnel as well as suppliers in order to review, correct and clear invoice discrepancies timely.
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries, both internal and external, regarding invoices and payments.
  • Assist with review and audit of Travel and Expense Reports
  • Assist with review and audit of Pcard reports
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Ensure we are in compliance with corporate policies, SOX, and FCPA.
  • Assist in month end closing

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable
  • Some College or working toward a college degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Proficient in MS Office including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook
  • Working knowledge of Accounting ERP systems.  SAP and Concur knowledge a plus.
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Must possess excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently or as a team member
  • Understanding of Transactional Lean concepts
