PURPOSE: Software design, development and support of Lincoln Operations shop floor control systems utilizing the Apriso Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Includes supporting multiple business units (Machine and Consumable) plus full integration with the Lincoln software stack and enterprise systems (i.e. ERP, Quality, Human Resources and machine control interfaces).  This position may be located 100% remotely, on-site or a combination based on business requirements. Reports directly to the Manager, MES Department.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Sustaining, support and new software development of Apriso MES capabilities
  • Partner with other technical leads and stakeholders to define key business opportunities and translate into MES design/development efforts
  • Comfortable in interfacing with key stakeholders from any organizational position or region within Lincoln
  • Provide on-demand support for Lincoln Operations shop floor control systems and technologies that interface with MES. May also include occasional after hours support.
  • Provide materials and support to ensure that MES end users are adequately trained
  • Participate in the documentation, maintenance and upgrades of MES integrated shop floor control systems and applications
  • Align closely with Plant Engineering and the Information Technology staff to ensure corporate and plant standards are met
  • Willingness to learn, grow and be challenged professionally on a regular basis
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.

 

 BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • 4 year technical degree. Typically, Computer Science, Engineering or Technology
  • Working knowledge of software development methodologies (i.e. waterfall, agile…) and lifecycle (requirements, analysis, design, test, document…)
  • 3+ years of software development experience utilizing an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as MS Visual Studio or equivalent
  • Experience with JavaScript, SQL (Windows & Oracle), HTML, C# and API’s
  • Excellent problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to break complex problems down
  • Preferred: direct experience with Delmia Apriso MES development tools, systems and technologies
  • Preferred: direct experience with support for manufacturing operations, industrial control systems, shop floor applications and automation
  • Preferred: broad technical experience across multiple platforms and operating systems.
