PURPOSE: To provide customers with timely consumable product certifications and other regulatory documents. This involves sampling product from warehouses and conducting standardized tests to evaluate product performance and conformance to specifications.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Prepares wires, electrodes, fluxes, and materials for test and evaluation.
  • Conduct standardized tests to evaluate product performance and conformance to specifications. This requires familiarity with industry standards and specifications.
  • Maintain and organize inventory of testing materials.
  • Assignments often require completion of a sequence of related operations, tests and evaluations.
  • Makes observations, records & reports results and performs simple computations.
  • Additional responsibilities as required by engineers and/or supervision.
  • Maintains work environment and equipment in safe working order.
  • Conducts and documents ail work in accordance with applicable company procedures and specifications.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Level II: High School Diploma (GED) & 5+ years of experience or, Vocational Training & 3+ years of related experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a positive and cooperative work environment with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret specifications and procedures related to job assignments.
  • Basic knowledge of test plans and work flows for consumable classification.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications used for certifications & conformances.
  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions and maintain neat, accurate records.
  • Must be self-motivated, safety and quality conscious.
  • Willing to learn on the job.
  • Detailed orientated.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lb. on a regular basis.
  • Stand up Forklift and/or material handling experience a plus.
  • First Shift (M-F) required.
