Basic Functions: The applicant will provide engineering support that includes but is not limited to assistance in the development and analysis of processes and equipment designs. New manufacturing solutions may apply to various industries such as aerospace, energy, automotive, and appliances 

                                

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Design control and power systems for custom automation equipment and other technical solutions. Electrical designs using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical software. Electrical controls design for Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Beckoff or Mitsubishi PLCs and HMIs.
  • Support shop personnel during the manufacturing process, set-up and validation.
  • Write programs for PLC logic and HMI logic and screens.
  • Simulate, program and integrate robotic applications.  Robot brands include: Fanuc, Motoman, ABB
  • Assist proposal development by researching purchased parts and developing print packets. This includes concept development for advanced co-op employees.
  • Support root cause evaluations.
  • Create and modify designs for new product development within Lincoln Electric Automation.
  • Support routing and shop operations with CAD related needs.
  • Assist with debug, integration and run-off for custom systems.
  • Assist with installations at customer facilities – may include some overnight travel
  • Assist with Control Panel Builds and machine wiring
  • Investigate product improvement opportunities discovered through testing or field performance data.
  • Manage small scale design and build projects.
  • Provide technical assistance to Engineering and all other departments as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year engineering degree program in Electrical Engineering or other applicable related engineering program.
  • CAD experience in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Robotic experience a plus

  • Immediately notify the Supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly, or if there are any questions regarding EHS procedures.
  • Attend required EHS training
