PURPOSE: Prepare the premix acid tank solution and recycle used drawing soaps. Clean assigned areas. Reports directly to the General Foreman/Shift Foreman.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Sweep floors, clean machines, and mix acid tank solution.
  •  Deliver the premixed acid tank solution to the designated lines.
  •  Recycle used drawing soap.
  • Review, understand, and follow the departmental procedures, EW Specifications, SSW Specifications, and Plant Rules and Regulations that are associated with the performance of this job.
  • Obey all safety rules, maintain the cleanliness of the work area and perform other duties as assigned by the General Foreman/Shift Foreman.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Understand and interpret the specifications and procedures related to this job.
  • Be self-motivated, safety and quality conscious.
  • Knowledgeable of the Filler Rod Department production processes and methods, machine and equipment capabilities and human resource requirements.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Good work record, leadership abilities, and communication skills, be able to get along with people and motivate workers.
  • Ability and desire to handle a production department with a three-shift operation.
  • Have sound judgment and be knowledgeable of welding with the ability to interpret welding results and to correct problems caused by manufacturing.
  • Be physically able to lift 100-pound bags on a regular basis and move large barrels of soap and acid.
