Summary:

Lincoln Electric is seeking an Engineering Project Manager for our Orville, OH plant operation. The Engineering Project Manager will spearhead the execution of environmental fume extraction projects, ensuring timely delivery, installation, and working within allocated budgets. Oversee end-to-end project management, facilitating interactions between Environmental sales specialists, Lincoln Electric production teams, external contract installers, and Environmental service teams to ensure project completion with utmost customer satisfaction.

 

Environmental Project Managers play a pivotal role in ensuring the readiness of customer build sites for equipment installation, overseeing the setup of central fume systems and capture devices, including duct verification, controls installation, and system commissioning.

** This is a hybrid position an individual must be able to work in Orville, OH. The initial training period may require 3 days a week then 1-2 days. **

 

What You Will Do:
 

  • Customer Relationship Management: Manage customer expectations throughout the design, construction, and post-sale phases, fostering relationships and exceeding client satisfaction.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Effectively liaise between internal design, engineering, application, and service teams, while maintaining transparent communication with sales teams and customers.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in comprehending mechanical and electrical aspects of environmental plant layout drawings, ensuring accurate execution of project specifications.
  • Project Integrity: Execute projects with integrity to uphold project profitability standards, adeptly handling customer change orders and ensuring adherence to project timelines.
  • Troubleshooting and Training: Provide remote troubleshooting support and conduct contractor training sessions, ensuring smooth project implementation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively engage with customers and contractor installers to evaluate systems for quality enhancements and cost optimizations, implementing design changes and product enhancements as necessary.
  • Logistics: Manage SAP Bill-of-Material duties and conduct pre-shipment system checkouts.
  • Customer Advocacy: Serve as the internal voice of the customer, embodying an a commitment to exceptional customer service standards.
  • Adaptability and Growth: Embrace additional responsibilities as required to support the Company’s 2025 Strategy, showcasing adaptability, and a growth-oriented mindset.

 

Required Education & Experience

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, or related field. Background in Electrical discipline with proficiency in AutoCAD preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, design, or project management, with at least 1+ years in a customer-facing role.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP a plus
  • Capable of leading cross-functional teams and communicating seamlessly across various organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively, contributing positively to group dynamics.
  • Possess a track record of successfully navigating complex projects, offering guidance to colleagues with less experience and serving as a valuable resource within the organization.
